Memorial

Here in the US, you and I get to rest.

We get to sleep in and be lazy.

We get to catch up on spring cleaning and gardening.

We get to fire up our bar-b-que grills.

We get to run races and through sprinklers.

We get to wear summer dresses and white shorts

For all of this, I am thankful to the men and women who have fought, who have given their lives so that I can enjoy the simple pleasures…the every day things that make our lives blissful.

Thank you to the soldiers, to their families…to the ones who fight so that we get to rest.
